UV and Paradise Cultural Society Announce Live From The Riviera — Open Air Weekender on Granville Island

Vancouver, BC — UV and Paradise Cultural Society are proud to announce Live From The Riviera, a three day music weekender taking place at Granville Island's Ocean Artworks from May 8 to 10. Building on the momentum of last summer's Paradise Island series, this new outdoor residency brings together world class electronic music, natural wine, and Mexican street food right on the waterfront.

"The name is a cheeky reference to Vancouver jokingly being called the Canadian Riviera in underground dance music circles," says DJ Express, the curator, booker, and designer of the event series. "The concept is pretty simple. We want people to come down early while the sun is out, grab a nice bottle of wine, eat well, and stay late for a dance. We are bringing some of the heaviest hitters in global dance music to this incredible covered pavilion to properly set the tone for the Vancouver summer."

The event turns the partially covered Ocean Artworks pavilion into a Pacific Riviera garden party. The organizers are bringing in a custom hi-fi audio experience courtesy of Traction Sound. Attendees can expect curated, low intervention wine selections from Vancouver's most beloved wine bar Bar Tartare and a Mexican street food bistro from Alimentaria Mexicana.

The programming connects global innovators with beloved local talent across three distinct days.
